This £2m project consisted of upgrading and extension of an existing traveller site for Kent County Council. The works involved careful planning and liaison with traveller families who remained in occupation throughout the duration of the works. The scope of the project included:

  • Provision of 18 new caravan pitches arranged around a new road
  • Renewal of 8 existing pitches already accommodating 26 caravans
  • Foundations for 13 utility building
  • Extensive rainwater attenuation measures
  • Children’s play area
  • Erection of acoustic barrier fencing to the northern site boundary
  • Landscaping
  • Resurfacing of an existing access road
